Wire harnesses, control panels & production equipment

Harnesses and control panels are the core of what we do. The group also builds the production equipment, machines the parts and sources the components — so a single purchase order can cover work that would otherwise take several suppliers.

Machine and system design

Mechanical design runs in four stages, from concept to production drawings. We then build the machine and deliver it, one-stop from design to delivery.

  1. 01

    Concept design

What machine are we building? We define the concept, overall form, technologies, and the parts and materials that make it possible.

  2. 02

    Basic design

With the concept fixed, design and drafting move into CAD.

  3. 03

    Detailed design

CAE analysis verifies material strength, circuits, structure and control optimisation. Where needed we build and test a prototype, and redesign until it holds.

  4. 04

    Production design

Final drawings and specifications set out dimensions, materials, parts, and machining and assembly methods, ready for the shop floor.

System design

Power distribution, control panels & control systems

We start with the basic concept: in what sequence should the machine run? From there we propose and prepare drawings and specifications, design the program that instructs the machine, and develop the software.

Our experience across many design and build projects lets us deliver the control system your application needs.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does NTEC manufacture?

Industrial wire harnesses and control panels are our core products. Through our group companies we also design and build production equipment, produce precision sheet metal and machined parts, and source castings, resin parts and electrical components.

Which industries does NTEC supply?

Robotics, semiconductor equipment, medical equipment and industrial machinery makers. Customers include Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric and Nippon Steel.

Can NTEC build a single prototype harness?

Yes. There is no minimum order quantity for prototyping — one piece is a valid order.

Does NTEC deliver fully tested control panels?

Yes. We deliver fully assembled and tested control boxes straight to your production line, with cabinet, wiring and commissioning under one vendor.

Does NTEC design production machinery?

Yes. We take machines from concept design through basic, detailed and production design, then build and deliver them. We also design power distribution, control panels and control systems, including the control software.

Does NTEC carry out installation work?

Yes. We carry out machinery installation, including plant, conveying and dust collection equipment, and electrical works covering power generation, substation, transmission and on-site electrical equipment.

Stop struggling with inflexible suppliers

Send a drawing and a quantity — one piece is enough. You will hear from an engineer, not a call centre.
